John G. Dana is an attorney at the law firm of Gordon, Dana & Gilmore, LLC, in Birmingham, Alabama. Mr. Dana has a practice dedicated to business and corporate law. He represents individuals and businesses in Birmingham and throughout Alabama in matters involving business torts, commercial litigation, securities, shareholder rights, tax issues and more.
After graduating from Auburn University, Mr. Dana earned his law degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where he served as executive editor of the Cumberland Law Review. He has been admitted to practice in Alabama state courts since 1999 and is also licensed to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi and the U.S Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Mr. Dana is well known throughout Alabama as a prominent business attorney and has been featured in Birmingham Magazine as one of the top business law attorneys in the state. He is active in a variety of professional organizations, including the Birmingham Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar Association, The Mississippi Bar, the Alabama Association for Justice and the Mississippi Association for Justice. He also belongs to the American Association for Justice. He served for several years on the executive committee for the Young Lawyers Section of the Birmingham Bar Association. He is a former member of the Alabama State Bar Association's Leadership Forum.
