Audra Ibarra is a State Bar certified appellate specialist who has won cases in the California Supreme Court and Courts of Appeal, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.  She represents organizations and individuals on civil and white-collar appeals and writs.  She also consults on attorney fee and dispositive motions, as well as trial strategy.

Audra is a former supervising Assistant United States Attorney, litigator at a large national firm and Deputy District Attorney.  She has over a dozen years of appellate experience and has personally tried 40 jury trials.  She has received national recognition and awards for her cases, including complex civil and white-collar cases, with issues involving attorney fees, class actions, commercial disputes, product liability, civil rights, employment law, real estate, family law, financial elder abuse, personal injury, agency enforcement, public corruption, fraud, money laundering, embezzlement, fraudulent financial reporting, tax evasion, asset forfeiture, Internet crimes, counterfeiting, theft, and organized crime.  Her cases often receive national media attention.

Audra co-authored California Objections Civil and Criminal, Revision 13, with Judge Gregory H. Ward (ret.), distributed by James Publishing.  She also regularly publishes articles and provides training on appellate law, particularly in the area of attorney fee appeals, for The Daily Journal, the State Bar of California and California Education of the Bar (CEB) among others.

Audra was appointed and currently serves as a voting member of the California Judicial Council which is the policy making body for the state judiciary.  Audra also serves on the Committee on Appellate Courts for the State Bar and the Board of Directors of the California Minority Counsel Program.  She previously served on the Judicial Nominees Evaluation Commission for the State Bar, on the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors of California Women Lawyers (CWL) and as the chair of the Amicus Committee of CWL.  She is on both the “Top 100” and “Top 50 Women” lists for Super Lawyers in Northern California.

Audra earned her B.A. in Political Science at the University of California at Berkeley, and her J.D. at New York University School of Law.
