While in law school, he was the technical editor and served on the executive board for the Hastings Law Journal as well as on the Moot Court Board.

In addition to practicing before all state and appellate courts in California, Mr. Hayes also practices before the Supreme Court of California as well as all U.S. District Courts in the state. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.

In addition to practicing law, Mr. Hayes is also heavily involved with his local Episcopal community, serving on the Grace Cathedral Congregation Giving Commission as well as serving as Eucharistic minister and catechist.
