As an attorney at the Law Offices of Joel H. Siegal, Mr. Siegal provides dedicated legal representation to clients in San Francisco, California, and throughout the surrounding area. He focuses his practice on labor and employment law, personal injury and family law mediation, generally handling cases that involve the following: labor, employment and civil rights litigation and counseling; wrongful death; environmental accidents; sexual assault litigation; divorce; and estate matters.
Before earning a Juris Doctor from the California Western School of Law, Mr. Siegal attended the University at Albany, State University of New York. From there, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and then went on to receive a certification from the Cornell University, ILR School, having studied industrial and labor relations.
For more than 25 years, Mr. Siegal has committed himself to advocating on behalf of those who have been wronged by others. Public service has been a cornerstone of Mr. Siegal’s life since his childhood, and it remains a priority for him. He understands that workers often lack the resources to take on large corporations, governments and insurance companies. For that reason, Mr. Siegal zealously fights on behalf of his clients’ rights. To do this, he draws on the valuable experience he gained at the start of his career, working as an apprentice for a well-known civil rights attorney.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Siegal has handled a broad range of cases. His notable successes include obtaining a settlement on behalf of a San Francisco police officer in a sexual discrimination case against Calaveras County. He also achieved a settlement in a lawsuit against the University of California San Francisco Medical Center on behalf of a woman who was allegedly sexually molested by a physician at the facility.
