Attorney Michael W. Malter co-founded his Santa Clara law firm, Binder & Malter LLP, in 2008. Since the establishment of the firm, Mr. Malter has continued to focus his efforts on assisting individuals, business owners and company leaders living and working in nearby San Jose, San Francisco and throughout Northern California work to overcome a variety of legal challenges in the following practice areas:

Mr. Malter earned his law degree from Santa Clara Law in 1980, and the State Bar of California granted him admission that same year. In addition to his approval to practice in all of California's state courtrooms, all of the U.S. District Courts in California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit have also granted him approval to practice in their courtrooms.
For more than 35 years, Mr. Malter has worked to earn the excellent reputation he now has. As a result of his efforts, he has earned recognition from his peers. He has received an AV Preeminent peer review rating* from Martindale-Hubbell, and he was the 1987 recipient of the Santa Clara County Bar Association Pro Bono Volunteer of the Year Award.
Although attorney Malter's practice has grown, he remains active in the legal community. He is a member of a number of associations, including the American Bar Association, The Bar Association of San Francisco, and The Congressman Don Edwards American Inn of Court, where he is both a founder and a two-time past president.
The firm is a debt relief agency. It helps people file for bankruptcy relief under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code.
