Attorney Stuart Eppsteiner is the founder of Eppsteiner Law, APC, in San Diego, California. Verdicts and Settlements:

  • Leeds and Strauss v. Alpha Beta Markets: The Court of Appeal Mr. Eppsteiner was counsel; include Leeds and Strauss v. Alpha Beta Markets, which upheld an implied covenant of continuous operation in an anchor tenant’s lease
  • Jimenez v. TM Cobb: The California Supreme Court reversed earlier California appellate decisions and allowed Californians to bring strict liability lawsuits against window manufacturers
  • Braverman v. Champagne Industries: 2004(Defective aluminum clad wood window that leaked and rotted:  Champagne, Developers and Wood part supplier paid $25 million aggregate that was paid to approx 4800 homeowners to repair or replace windows.)
  • Newton v. Fortiss: 2007(Short-term medical policies: alleged that Fortiss didn't comply with statutory "pre-existing condition" requirements for exclusion of claims)
  • International Aluminum Window Class Action Settlement: 2008 (1.2 million windows, class were all California Property Owners w/ IAC 6200 series aluminum windows.)
