Timothy G. McFarlin is an AV-Preeminent* attorney and the managing partner of the Los Angeles, California, law firm McFarlin LLP. His practice primarily focuses on bankruptcy, foreclosure and mortgage litigation, real estate law, business litigation and consumer law. His clients, for whom he has discharged millions of dollars in debt, range from individuals to large national corporations. He represents businesses and consumers throughout the state of California and across the United States.
Mr. McFarlin is a prominent attorney in the field of consumer bankruptcy and has successfully handled thousands of bankruptcy cases. He has been quoted in local and national publications, including USA Today and the Orange County Register, on bankruptcy and foreclosure topics. He has spoken at events for the Orange County Bar Association, Real Estate Division, on foreclosures, mortgage litigation and short sales.
Prior to founding McFarlin LLP, Mr. McFarlin was a judicial extern for the Honorable Christopher M. Klein, Chief United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern District of California. He also worked for the Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee in the Central District of California where he concentrated on consumer bankruptcy, commercial bankruptcy, foreclosures and business law.
Mr. McFarlin is admitted to practice law in all California state and federal courts. He has filed cases in, and practiced before, all California federal courts. He is a member of the Orange County Bar Association and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. Mr. McFarlin attended University of California at Los Angeles where he earned a Bachelor's of Science in Economics with an emphasis in Accounting. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of California at Davis, King Hall, where he focused his studies on bankruptcy, reorganization, litigation and business law.
