As a founder of Kristensen Weisberg, LLP, John Kristensen represents the rights of clients in San Francisco, Oakland and Los Angeles, California, as well as those in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. He focuses his practice on handling personal injury cases that involve the following matters: motor vehicle accidents and defects, elder law, nursing home neglect, labor law, product liability and consumer products.
After earning a Bachelor of Science from the University of Oregon, Mr. Kristensen went on to receive a Juris Doctor from the Washington and Lee University School of Law in 2002.
For more than a decade, Mr. Kristensen has been holding negligent manufacturers accountable for the defective and dangerous products they create. As a skilled litigator, he knows how to navigate a case in order to obtain compensation for the injured. Mr. Kristensen's work has been featured on prominent media outlets including Good Morning America and the Los Angeles Times.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Kristensen has obtained a number of six-figure verdicts and settlements on behalf of clients. In one of his most notable achievements, he investigated a steering rod recall that affected Toyota vehicles. Mr. Kristensen discovered that the manufacturer delayed the recall by nearly a year in the United States despite having received almost 40 complaints. As a result, Toyota had to pay a maximum fine of more than $16 million.
For these and other achievements, the Daily Journal selected Mr. Kristensen as an associate to watch in California.
A frequent guest speaker, Mr. Kristensen is active in the legal community as a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles.
