Attorney Alan Van Gelder is a partner at Greene Broillet & Wheeler, LLP, in Santa Monica, California, where he works with business litigation, catastrophic personal injury and legal malpractice. He represents individuals, governmental bodies and corporations throughout California.
Mr. Van Gelder is a summa cum laude graduate of California State University, Northridge, where he earned a degree in political science. He earned his law degree from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, where he was a member of the Southwestern Law Review and was the recipient of a variety of academic awards. He also received various scholarships and participated in moot court competition.
Today, Mr. Van Gelder is admitted to practice in all California state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. Over the course of his career, he has helped his clients to recover numerous settlements or verdicts of $1 million or more. He has also authored numerous articles for publications including Forum magazine and the Journal of Consumer Attorneys Associations for Southern California's Advocate.
His years of litigation experience have earned Mr. Gelder recognition among his peers. In 2016, he was featured in the publication "The Best Lawyers in America" for his achievements in personal injury litigation.
