Deborah L. Taussig is a partner at Taussig, Taussig & Smith, PC, with offices in Denver and Boulder, Colorado. Focusing her practice primarily on personal injury litigation in the areas of automobile collisions, trucking collisions, premises liability, wrongful death, traumatic brain injury and other serious injuries. Ms. Taussig also assists policy holders who are making bad faith claims against their insurance companies.
Ms. Taussig received a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1984. Later deciding to pursue a legal education, she went on to attend the Sturm College of Law at The University of Denver and was awarded her Juris Doctor in 2001. After graduation, Ms. Taussig spent several years as an associate with a Boulder personal injury firm before opening her own firm in 2008. In 2011, she merged her firm with her brother's firm and the forned Taussig, Taussig & Smith. Admitted to practice in Colorado, she is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit.
An active participant in a variety of professional organizations, Ms. Taussig has served on the board of governors of the American Association for Justice. She is also the treasurer and a member of the executive committee of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, and she teaches courses at the Trial Lawyer's College.
