Christina M. Habas is a shareholder in Keating Wagner Polidori Free, P.C., located in Denver, Colorado. Focusing her practice on representing plaintiffs in personal injury matters, she provides representation to clients throughout the state in cases involving motor vehicle accidents, product liability, medical malpractice, premises liability and other types of matters in which a client has been harmed by the negligence of another party.
After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in 1979 from the University of Denver, Ms. Habas pursued her legal studies at the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law and was awarded her Juris Doctor in 1982. As a law student, Ms. Habas won the Intramural Mock Trial Competition and the Intramural Negotiations Competition, and she was a member of the Honor Board in 1981 and 1982. Admitted to practice in Colorado, she is a member of the board of directors of Law School Si Se Puede and is also an active participant in the American Board of Trial Advocates and the Federal Bar Association.
After graduation from law school, Ms. Habas went into private practice and represented clients in more than 100 bench trials and more than 50 jury trials before she became a judge on the District Court for the 2nd Judicial District for Denver County in 2004. As a judge, she presided over more than 200 trials before stepping down in 2012 and joining her current firm. In addition to her work in the courtroom, Ms. Habas taught trial advocacy and practice for a variety of organizations, including the Colorado Bar Association, the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and the Denver Bar Association.
