As a founding member and senior partner at Knight & Cerritelli, LLC, Tara Knight is committed to representing people throughout the state of Connecticut. She focuses her practice on criminal defense, handling cases that involve the following matters: domestic violence, assault, capital murder, computer and pornography crimes, robbery, sexual assault, narcotics, embezzlement, marijuana and weapons violations.

After she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Fairfield University, Ms. Knight went on to earn a Juris Doctor in 1990 from Suffolk University Law School.

With more than two decades of experience, Ms. Knight brings fierce litigation skills and a deep knowledge of criminal law to the courtroom. She understands that an attorney must explore every detail of a case in order to successfully defend people who face criminal charges. By building compelling arguments and keeping open communication with those involved, Ms. Knight has consistently reduced or dismissed charges for clients. She treats people with the respect and compassion they deserve throughout their case. Ms. Knight shares her experiences through regular lectures at law schools, and she is certified by the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification in criminal trial advocacy. Since 2003, she has been named in The Best Lawyers in America* every year.

Over the years, Ms. Knight has been sought by the media for her knowledge on criminal law. She has appeared on many national programs, including “The Today Show,” CNN and MSNBC.
