Attorney Profile

Respecting a loved one’s wishes following a death or incapacitation is a top priority for people in Miami and Miami-Dade County, Florida. Enrique Zamora, a founding partner of Zamora, Hillman & Veres, uses his legal skills to assist Cubans who are dealing with probate issues and other aspects of elder law. He has decades of experience guiding clients through matters including the following: trusts, wills, long-term care planning, powers of attorney, guardianships and medical directives.

The landscape of estate planning changes almost annually. Through holding memberships with a number of legal organizations, Mr. Zamora is able to track how state and federal laws are evolving. He is active with The Florida Bar’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Law, and Elder Law sections, the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys, the Cuban American Bar Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Inc., and the Dade County Bar Association.

In addition to his legal activities, Mr. Zamora also enjoys serving as an adjunct professor at the St. Thomas University School of Law and as an attorney ad litem for Cuban national heirs.

A solid education provides the foundation for Mr. Zamora’s practice. After earning a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Florida in 1971, he went on to receive a Master of Business Administration in 1975 from Florida International University. In 1981, Mr. Zamora received a Master of Science in Management from Florida International University, focusing on taxation and accounting issues.
