The founder and managing partner of Danz & Kronengold, P.L., Alan D. Danz focuses his practice primarily on employment law. In approximately 80 percent of his cases, he represents the defendant, and he represents the plaintiff in approximately 10 percent of his cases. His remaining cases involve business litigation. Typical matters involve wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, hostile work environment, discrimination and employer retaliation. He also handles whistleblower claims and violations of noncompetition agreements. Although the firm's primary office is in Cooper City, Florida, it also has a branch office in Fort Lauderdale. Mr. Danz regularly assists clients located throughout Palm Beach, Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
The path to a legal profession took several turns for Mr. Danz. He first earned his bachelor's degree from Queens College, graduating cum laude in 1977. After obtaining a Master of Arts in audiology from the University of Maryland, Mr. Danz then received a Doctor of Philosophy from Purdue University, graduating cum laude with majors in audiologic habilitation and auditory physiology. Following graduation, he founded one of America's largest companies devoted to hearing health. After it was sold, Mr. Danz pursued his legal education at the University of Miami School of Law and was awarded his Juris Doctor cum laude in 1991.
Admitted to practice in Florida, Mr. Danz is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. A frequent speaker and instructor at various legal association functions, Mr. Danz is highly regarded by his fellow professionals, as evidenced by his receipt of an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell.
