Justin Parafinczuk is a shareholder at Koch Parafinczuk & Wolf, P.A., and he is located in the firm's principal office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Serving clients throughout the state, he focuses his practice primarily on complex commercial litigation, defending companies in a wide variety of matters, including shareholder disputes. He also provides defense counsel to companies in labor and employment litigation, and he has handled a range of other defense litigation, including professional liability, wrongful death, mass tort cases, toxic exposure, aviation accidents and workers' compensation. In addition to litigation at the trial level, Mr. Parafinczuk has extensive state and federal appellate experience.
As an undergraduate, Mr. Parafinczuk attended the University of West Florida and obtained a Bachelor of Arts. He then went on to attend the Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 2007. Mr. Parafinczuk became admitted to practice before all Florida state courts that same year. He is certified in civil trial law by The Florida Bar.
Mr. Parafinczuk is frequently asked to speak before groups of fellow professionals on matters relating to trial strategy and other topics relating to his practice areas. He has written several articles for Claims Journal and other publications, including one discussing potential defense strategies for the 2014 accident involving comedian Tracy Morgan who was riding in a limousine that was crashed into by a sleep-deprived Wal-Mart truck driver and another regarding claims adjusters and trucking accidents. Mr. Parafinczuk has also been a frequent guest on local radio shows, where he has provided commentary on whistleblower law and other topics.
