A partner in the Fort Lauderdale-based firm of LubellRosen, attorney Marshall A. Adams focuses primarily on commercial and business litigation in the state of Florida. He has extensive experience in litigation related to construction, real estate and title issues, employment and fraudulent transfers. Mr. Adams' commercial litigation practice includes representation of such diverse groups as developers, general contractors, sureties, subcontractors and material suppliers in construction matters; and lenders, title underwriters and agents, borrowers and guarantors in commercial real estate and title litigation; doctors, pharmacies, physician groups and clinics in general and health law litigation; and car dealerships. In addition, approximately 10 percent of his practice is devoted to representing employers and employees in employment litigation claims such as the Fair Labor Standards Act, Family Medical Leave Act and noncompete-nondisclosure agreements. Mr. Adams also handles significant collections matters in which assets are being concealed or transferred by the debtor.
Since 1987, Mr. Adams has provided dedicated assistance to clients in all types of litigation. Some of his clients have been represented by him for the majority of or his entire career. Experience in representing both plaintiffs and defendants allows him to see multiple sides of a dispute, which can be useful in finding the best way to represent a client's interests. Mr. Adams engages in both state and federal litigation, including appeals. He has developed an excellent reputation for being able to understand and evaluate his client's needs.
While at Florida Atlantic University working toward his bachelor's degree, Mr. Adams was a faculty scholar, graduating at the age of 17. He later obtained his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University School of Law while being active with and serving as marshal (sergeant at arms) and justice (president) of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International.
Mr. Adams has worked on a number of high-profile cases, achieving landmark settlements for some of his clients. He is known for having a high rate of favorable settlements and obtaining many successful. He is a member of The Florida Bar, and admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.
