Mr. Jagolinzer has won millions of dollars for thousands of clients over the years. In a landmark case against Honeywell International Inc. in 2008, he won the highest compensatory damages award in Florida history against a single defendant in a mesothelioma case. Following a two-week trial, the jury awarded the plaintiff $24.2 million. He also secured a $14 million settlement from Union Carbide Corporation in 2008 for a drywall contractor who suffered pleural mesothelioma. He was recognized as a finalist for Most Effective Lawyer in Product Liability by the Daily Business Review that same year. In 2007, he negotiated a $5 million settlement from Ford Motor Co. for an automotive mechanic who suffered from peritoneal mesothelioma.

Mr. Jagolinzer graduated from the University of Miami School of Law with his Juris Doctor in 1999 and is admitted to practice in Florida, Massachusetts, New York and the District of Columbia. He holds memberships with the Dade County Professionalism Committee and the Florida and Massachusetts bar associations. In the national legal community, he participates in the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice and the National Italian American Bar Association. As an educator in his community, he delivers lectures on litigation and trial skills.

Verdicts and Settlements:

  • $1.2 million jury verdict - Kavanaugh v. Union Carbide Corporation, 879 So.2d 42, Fla. 4th DCA 2004. Mr. Kavanaugh was a carpenter suffering from peritoneal mesothelioma. This case solidified the legal responsibility in Florida against companies, who had previously claimed legal immunity as bulk suppliers of raw materials.
  • Over $5 million settlement - Parsons v. Ford Motor Company, et al., February 2007. Mr. Parsons was a single, 69 year-old automotive mechanic suffering from peritoneal mesothelioma
  • Over $14 million settlement - Plaintiff v. Union Carbide Corporation, et al., August, 2008. Drywall contractor suffering from pleural mesothelioma
  • $24.2 million jury verdict - Guilder v. Honeywell International, Inc., April, 2008. Dr. Guilder was a 51 year old Weston doctor suffering from peritoneal mesothelioma. This is the highest compensatory damage award against a single defendant in a mesothelioma case to date.
  • $1.8 million jury verdict- Lagueux v. Union Carbide Corporation, 861 So.2d 87, Fla. 4th DCA 2003. Mr. Lagueux was a drywall finisher suffering with asbestosis. This was the first case in the nation in which a jury awarded damages against Union Carbide Corporation in connection with the asbestos it mined.
