Attorney Elizabeth K. Russo is the managing partner of Russo Appellate Firm, P.A., a law firm in Miami, Florida. Ms. Russo and the firm work with appeals and litigation support in a variety of legal areas, including admiralty law, class actions, commercial disputes, construction litigation, insurance coverage and extra-contractual litigation, mass torts, medical malpractice, personal injury, product liability, securities litigation, wrongful death and more.
She has more than 35 years of experience as a lawyer, and has been working with appeals cases for more than 30 years. She represents clients in Miami-Dade County, throughout Florida and nationwide.
Before earning her law degree, Ms. Russo attended Wellesley College in Massachusetts and graduated cum laude from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. She later attended the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, Florida, where she was a member of the University of Miami Law Review and graduated cum laude. She has been licensed to practice in the state of Florida since 1978.
Ms. Russo is also admitted to practice before a number of Florida appellate courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 9th and 11th circuits and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Recognized for her knowledge, experience and professionalism, Ms. Russo has been rated AV Preeminent,* the highest possible rating, by the peer review service Martindale-Hubbell. She has also been featured in the publication "The Best Lawyers in America" for many years.
Active in professional organizations, Ms. Russo is a member of The Florida Bar and belongs to the organization's Appellate Practice Section. She has also served as the chair of The Florida Bar's Board of Legal Specialization and Education and participated as the liaison to the board's Florida Appellate Practice Certification Committee.
