Robert N. Harrison

The founder of the law firm Robert N. Harrison, P.A., in Venice, Florida, Robert N. Harrison exclusively focuses his practice on criminal defense, DUI defense and criminal litigation. Throughout his career spanning over three and a half decades, he has handled a wide range of cases, including armed robberies, drug crimes and murders. He represents his clients across the state of Florida, including Venice, Sarasota and Bradenton.

Majoring in finance, Mr. Harrison earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Warrington College of Business in 1983. He was actively involved in several activities of the Florida Blue Key, a student leadership society. The president of the Omicron Delta Kappa honorary society, he was a member of other societies such as the Pi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma. Later he joined the University of Florida Levin College of Law to pursue his legal studies and received his doctorate in jurisprudence in 1986. 

Prior to establishing his own firm, Mr. Harrison was an assistant state attorney where he gained extensive experience prosecuting felony and misdemeanor cases. Later he served as an attorney at a leading firm in Florida and gained substantial knowledge in the real estate area while representing defendants and plaintiffs in various disputes.

Currently a member of the board of directors of the FACDL, Mr. Harrison was the president of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (FACDL) for a tenure of two years from 2006 to 2008. He holds active memberships in several other organizations such as the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Sertoma Club of Venice and the Venice Area Chamber of Commerce. 

Regularly seen as a speaker at multiple seminars conducted by the FACDL, Mr. Harrison is also actively involved in pro bono service and was appreciated by the Supreme Court of Florida in 2009 for his exceptional service and dedication.
