Ron D. Herman is the Managing Shareholder of Herman Law, P.A., in West Palm Beach, Florida. Focusing his practice on criminal defense, he is dedicated to serving clients throughout Palm Beach County, as well as Martin and Okeechobee Counties. Mr. Herman has an established reputation for aggressively and successfully defending clients in even the most complex cases, including murder, grand theft, fraud and DUI. Mr. Herman represents clients in state and federal courts throughout the Florida and he is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Practicing criminal law for over fourteen years, including seven years as a Managing Shareholder, Mr. Herman has tried more than 150 jury trials and has received numerous recognitions, including being awarded an AV Preeminent* peer-review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and 10.0 "Superb" Rating by Avvo.com. Before going into private practice, Mr. Herman worked as an assistant state attorney (prosecutor) in Broward and Palm Beach Counties, where he obtained extensive pre-trial and trial experience. As an assistant state attorney, he worked in the Crimes Against Children Unit, handling complex cases involving sex crimes and abuse. Mr. Herman was also a division lead for the DUI Unit and the Domestic Violence Unit.
Mr. Herman is a frequent speaker on criminal law issues and is involved in several professional organizations, including the Criminal Law Section and the Traffic Court Rules Committee of The Florida Bar. He is dedicated to helping his clients receive the best possible outcome in the justice system, and access to services to correct their circumstances and become productive citizens. Mr. Herman is also committed to his community, generously investing his time and resources by serving on the Board of Directors of the Neil S. Hirsch Boys and Girls Club of Wellington, serving as Vice President of the Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center Alumni Association, Palm Beach County Chapter, and promoting civics education to adults on behalf of the Law Related Education Committee of the Palm Beach County Bar Association.
