Steven M. Fincher, a senior partner at Fincher Denmark LLC, is a seasoned attorney with more than 30 years of experience in local government and municipal law matters, such as land use and zoning, taxes, eminent domain, bonds, public finance and election law. Mr. Fincher also represents clients in the Jonesboro, Georgia, area who have been injured through other people's negligence.
Throughout his career, Mr. Fincher has helped a diverse array of clients in the South Atlanta area as well as throughout the Georgia. In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Fincher is also a registered mediator. This breadth of experience allows him to consistently provide the highest-quality service to each of his clients.
Mr. Fincher's Georgia roots run deep. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and earned his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law. He has served as general counsel for 14 cities and other Atlanta area governmental bodies.
In one of his roles as general counsel, Mr. Fincher played an influential role in putting together the financing for the redevelopment of Fort Gillem as well as the Georgia International Convention Center. Along with his law practice, Mr. Fincher is active in professional organizations and participates in several community and pro bono activities. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Georgia Municipal Association, and has served as a board member of the Clayton State University Foundation.
