Attorney Rebeca E. Salmon is the managing partner of A Salmon Firm, LLC, in Norcross, Georgia. Ms. Salmon represents clients throughout the metropolitan area of Atlanta in a variety of appellate, consumer, criminal defense and family law cases.
A graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law, Ms. Salmon has been licensed to practice law since 2007, became licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States in 2012 and is also certified in child welfare law by the National Association of Counsel for Children. Before opening her private practice she received an Equal Justice Works Fellowship and worked for Catholic Charities Atlanta. She speaks both English and Spanish.
Ms. Salmon is very dedicated to volunteer and pro bono work, taking on several pro bono cases each year. She is the founder of the Immigrant Children’s Advocacy Project and is also the executive director of the nonprofit organization Access to Law, Inc.
Recognized for her volunteer efforts, she received an “Outstanding Pro Bono Work” award from the American Immigration Lawyers Association in 2014 and 2015. She has also received other accolades, including the Liberty Bell Award from the DeKalb Bar Association.
Outside of her law practice and volunteer work, Ms. Salmon serves as an adjunct professor at Brenau University and sits on the board of directors of the Barton Child Law and Policy Center. She belongs to several professional organizations, including the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Georgia Association of Counsel for Children and the National Association of Counsel for Children.
