As an associate attorney at Levinson and Stefani, Brett A. Manchel is committed to representing clients in Chicago and across the state of Illinois. He dedicates his practice to handling personal injury plaintiff cases that involve matters such as the following: construction, trucking and motor vehicle accidents; wrongful death; and medical malpractice. Mr. Manchel also represents clients in copyright and trademark matters.
In 2009, Mr. Manchel received a Bachelor of Arts in public policy from the University of Michigan. He then attended the Michigan State University College of Law, where he earned a Juris Doctor and graduated cum laude in 2012. While in law school, he participated in moot court competitions and founded the Media, Entertainment, Technology & the Arts Law Society.
A personal injury lawsuit centers on demonstrating the defendant's negligence and outlining the plaintiff's injuries. To that end, Mr. Manchel personally conducts a thorough investigation of each client's case. He pores over bills and receipts, and analyzes police reports to construct the strongest possible argument. Mr. Manchel knows that recovering compensation is key to helping his clients recover from their injuries.
In addition to his personal injury cases, Mr. Manchel also has a passion for ensuring safe Internet technology use. He counsels individuals and business owners regarding their intellectual property rights and contributes to the firm's child safety blog on topics such as cyberbullying, harassment and invasion of privacy. No matter the case, Mr. Manchel provides clients with personalized attention, prioritizes their goals and aggressively advocates for them, whether in negotiations or in the courtroom.
Mr. Manchel is active with the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and The Chicago Bar Association. He also volunteers with Lawyers for the Creative Arts.
