Christian Luciano Santiago

Mr. Santiago completed his B.A. cum laude at Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico followed by his J.D. at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. He has a certificate in trial advocacy from the same university. During his time in law school, he was on the dean's list, a member of the Trial Advocacy and Center for Dispute Resolution Honors Board, and a competitor in several national trial advocacy competitions.

Prior to joining Vogelzang Law in 2021, Mr. Santiago represented physicians, nurses, professional corporations and hospitals as an associate attorney at a major litigation defense company. In addition, he represented victims in nursing home abuse and medical malpractice lawsuits at a prominent Chicago plaintiff's personal injury firm.

Mr. Santiago's desire to practice law was sparked by his time spent working for New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. He witnessed personally her influence as an attorney, as she crafted legislation and regulations that ultimately became law. While working on the Affordable Care Act, he was able to shadow attorneys and legislative aides.

A board member of the Puerto Rican Bar Association of Illinois, Mr. Santiago is a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago.
