Emily J. Eckert founded the Eckert Law Group, LLC, law firm in Chicago, Illinois. Through her practice, she represents clients in the Chicago metro region and across Cook County who have legal needs in the following practice areas:
After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in legal and ethical philosophy from Loyola University Chicago in 1996, Ms. Eckert began her legal career as a paralegal. Seeking more involvement as a legal professional, she returned to school and received her Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law in 2006. In 2007, the Illinois State Bar Association admitted her to practice.
As an attorney, Ms. Eckert is a consummate professional who fights hard for the rights and entitlements of her clients. Throughout her career, she has successfully represented hundreds of clients in a wide array of personal injury and negligence cases, securing millions of dollars in settlements and awards. Always mindful of the emotional impact such cases can have on individuals and their families, she treats each client with compassion and respect.
As a staunch advocate for families with special needs children, Ms. Eckert is passionate about ensuring these families have access to the support they need. While still in law school, she completed an externship with the Juvenile Court's Division of Child Abuse and Neglect, and also served as a research assistant to the Family Law Department. In 2008, she founded Attorneys for Children, a firm that represents children who have special needs as a result of accidents, injuries or developmental delays.
