The Law Offices of Richard Hanus, established in 1990, represents individuals, families and businesses in Illinois and across the U.S. in all areas of U.S. immigration law. With offices in Downtown Chicago, Elgin and Waukegan, Richard Hanus provides counsel for cases arising out of family as well as employment relationships and defends individuals in removal proceedings. Mr. Hanus is a graduate of Northwestern University (B.S.) and the University of Illinois (J.D.). As a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Mr. Hanus has served on numerous committees and is a frequent lecturer on immigration law topics for local and national continuing legal education programs. Mr. Hanus has chaired Chicago Volunteer Legal Services’ pro bono Immigration Law Clinic for more than a decade and has twice received their Distinguished Service Award. He is a contributor to the Wall Street Journal and a frequent commentator in local and national news media, including PBS’ Frontline.
