A partner at Parker & Parker in Peoria, Illinois, Robert R. Parker focuses his practice in the areas of adoption, divorce and other family law matters as well as nursing home neglect for his clients throughout the state. In 2013, he obtained a six-figure settlement for his client in a case of wrongful death due to nursing home neglect.
Mr. Parker is a member of the American Bar Association and the Peoria County Bar Association, for which he has served on the Communications & Technology and Entertainment committees, and he is an active participant in the Chicago-based Public Interest Law Initiative, where he demonstrates his commitment to pro bono work. He is also a member of The Abraham Lincoln American Inn of Court. Mr. Parker has been a member of the Illinois Adoption Advisory Council and a lecturer in family law courses put on by the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys.
Admitted to practice in Illinois, Mr. Parker is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit. He is licensed as a CJA panel attorney by the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois. He also serves on the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services Statewide Adoption Attorney Panel.
In 2005, Mr. Parker earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois, where he majored in political science and minored in anthropology and philosophy. He received his Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2009. While in law school, he served as vice president of the Student Bar Association.
