A partner at Parker & Parker in Peoria, Illinois, Robert R. Parker focuses his practice in the areas of personal injury, nursing home neglect, and adoption throughout the state. In 2013, he obtained the largest reported nursing home neglect settlement in Knox County, and his experience also includes murder trials, meth manufacturing and federal gang prosecutions, and international child abduction under the Hague Convention.
Mr. Parker is one of about 500 Fellows admitted worldwide in the Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys. He has authored chapters on downstate Illinois procedure and the rules and regulations on private cases, both in the practice guide (ICLE) for other attorneys. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Peoria County Bar Association, the Abraham Lincoln American Inn of Court, and a past lecturer in family law courses put on by bar association.
Admitted to practice in Illinois, Mr. Parker is also admitted to practice in federal court and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit. He is also a licensed statewide panel attorney for adoptions with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
In 2005, Mr. Parker earned a bachelor's degree as a James Scholar from the University of Illinois. He received his Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2009.
