An attorney with Holmstrom & Kennedy PC, Roberta L. Holzwarth represents clients in Rockford and Chicago, Illinois. She focuses her practice on employment and labor law, handling cases on the behalf of employers that involve preparation of employee handbooks, wage claims, sexual harassment investigations, collective bargaining agreements, breach of privacy claims, retaliatory discharge, unfair competition claims, discrimination and the preparation and review of personnel policies.
Ms. Holzwarth attended Stanford University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in 1980. She then went to the University of Illinois College of Law, graduating cum laude with her Juris Doctor In 1983. After graduating from law school, Ms. Holzwarth joined Holmstrom & Kennedy PC.
For the past 30 years, Ms. Holzwarth has successfully defended companies and businesses in commercial and employment law matters. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and is admitted to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit. In addition to her representation of clients, Ms. Holzwarth is a certified mediator and works with local state and federal courts. She has served on the board of directors for the United Way of Rock River Valley, the YMCA of Rock River Valley and the Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, and she was a secretary for the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners for the city of Rockford.
