Jerry A. Garau represents plaintiffs throughout the state of Indiana. Mr. Garau's practice focuses on medical malpractice and personal injury litigation, though he has also represented plaintiffs in business litigation, contract disputes, and attorney malpractice actions.
Mr. Garau is admitted to practice law in the state of Indiana, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Indiana. He received his undergraduate degree from Franklin College in 1983, where he graduated summa cum laude. He graduated cum laude from the Indiana University School of Law in 1986, and then began his legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Patrick D. Sullivan at the Indiana Court of Appeals.
Mr. Garau has the highest possible rating of AV-Preeminent* from Martindale-Hubbell. He serves on the executive committee and board of directors of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, and is a member of the Indianapolis and Indiana state bar associations, the American Association for Justice, the American Board of Trial Advocates and the Indiana Bar Foundation. Mr. Garau has given numerous presentations and written multiple articles on the subjects of medical malpractice litigation and trial practice.
