Scott C. Cox, of Cox & Mazzoli PLLC, is a highly successful criminal defense attorney with many years of experience defending clients in Louisville, Kentucky. Mr. Cox has been widely recognized as an authority in his field by various publications, including the Louisville Courier-Journal, which described him as one of the state's two best criminal defense attorneys.

Mr. Cox received his law degree from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, and today is admitted to practice in the state of Kentucky, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit. He is a former member of the Kentucky National Guard, where he served as an officer in the Judge Advocate General's Corps.

A former prosecutor, Mr. Cox is widely recognized as an innovator in criminal defense. Many of his cases have been published, including one that helped establish that a defendant's gambling addiction can be used as reason to reduce his or her sentence.
