Glenn C. McGovern, Attorney at Law, represents people in Metairie and New Orleans, Louisiana, as well as their surrounding areas. He focuses his practice on personal injury, employment law and civil rights, and he regularly handles cases involving the following matters: car, motorcycle and truck accidents; dog attacks; toxic poisoning; wrongful death; products liability; medical malpractice; employment discrimination based on race, gender or sex; discrimination retaliation; whistleblowers; and police brutality.
After he received an undergraduate degree from The University of New Orleans, Mr. McGovern attended Loyola University Chicago School of Law. He graduated in 1977 with a degree in law.
For more than 30 years, Mr. McGovern has represented victims of negligence and he has a deep understanding of the personal impact an unexpected injury or employment discrimination issue can have. He knows that, in addition to an illness from toxic chemical exposure or the physical pain from a car accident, victims may struggle with depression and financial hardship. It is Mr. McGovern's goal to make sure that his clients receive the compensation to which they are legally entitled.
A passionate advocate, Mr. McGovern does not shy away from high-risk cases. As an experienced trial attorney, he aggressively pursues justice against corporations that act negligently and often appears before state and appeals courts as well as the Louisiana Supreme Court. Mr. McGovern's adherence to legal ethics and superior skills have earned him the highest rating possible of AV Preeminent* from Martindale-Hubbell. Additionally, he holds a membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
When he is not in his law office taking care of clients, Mr. McGovern enjoys competing in international motocross races. He also holds a commercial pilot's license.
