Leonard R. Stamm is the co-founder of Goldstein & Stamm, P.A., located in Greenbelt, Maryland. Focusing his practice on criminal defense, he represents clients throughout Maryland who have been charged with driving under the influence, hit and run, murder and other criminal and vehicular offenses. A recognized authority on drunk driving defense, Mr. Stamm is the author of "Maryland DUI Law," the definitive Maryland Practice Series guide on that subject, and he has lectured extensively on this topic in Maryland and around the country.
A 1977 recipient of a Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University, Mr. Stamm obtained his Juris Doctor from Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America in 1983. Prior to forming Goldstein & Stamm, P.A., in 1991, he was a law clerk for a judge on the Circuit Court for Prince George's County before working as an associate with area law firms. Admitted to practice in Maryland, Mr. Stamm is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 4th and District of Columbia Circuits, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Highly regarded by his peers, he has been awarded an AV-Preeminent* rating by Martindale-Hubbell and is listed in Best Lawyers in America.
In addition to his frequent lectures and seminars, Mr. Stamm shares his experience and acumen through his authorship of several articles on DUI defense and other litigation tactics for legal publications. He also stays abreast of developments in his field as the Dean of The National College for DUI Defense, Inc.
