Maria K. Caruso

For over 30 years, Maria K. Caruso has put every foot forward of her professional career in getting her clients the relief they deserve – be it from her years as an assistant public defender or in private practice, handling a broad variety of cases in private practice, ranging from estate planning and probate, trusts and wills, and family law- and criminal defense-related matters as well. At the Law Offices of Caruso & Zerwitz in Towson, Maryland, she represents clients throughout the greater Baltimore metropolitan area and beyond.

With an expansive knowledge of many areas of the law, Ms. Caruso is one of a handful of attorneys who can truly see the bigger picture and the snowball effect one decision can have later down the line. Ms. Caruso is a 1986 B.A. graduate of Syracuse University in United States studies, and right after graduating, she enrolled at the University of Baltimore School of Law. She received her Juris Doctor in 1989, and in the same year, obtained her license to practice in Maryland.

When not fiercely advocating for her clients’ cause, Ms. Caruso plays active roles within her legal community to enhance the service of her industry to her high standards. She is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA), Hartford County Bar Association, the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association and the Maryland Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. In addition, she also served as the treasurer and the Hartford County Representative to the MSBA’s Young Lawyers Section and Solo & Small Firm Practice Session respectively.
