Attorney Claudia Lagos is a partner at the law firm of Scully and Lagos in Boston, Massachusetts. She practices criminal defense. Representing clients in Boston and throughout the surrounding region in matters involving assault, battery, conspiracy, DUI, domestic violence, drug offenses, fraud, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, robbery, sex offenses, theft and more.
Ms. Lagos received bachelor's degrees in both English and French from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where she graduated with honors, and earned her law degree from Boston College Law School. As a student, she was a member of the Boston College Mock Trial team, and won an award for her argument skills.
While attending law school, Ms. Lagos gained legal experience at Greater Boston Legal Services, where she handled cases involving immigration and domestic violence victims. She also served as an intern for the New Hampshire Public Defender. In this role she undertook a variety of roles, including interviewing clients, drafting pleadings and assisting with trial preparation.
Following law school and prior to joining Scully and Lagos, Ms. Lagos worked as a public defender with the Committee for Public Counsel Services, representing individuals who were accused of crimes. She is admitted to practice in all Massachusetts state courts, as well as before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and has represented clients in both state and federal courts.
Ms. Lagos is fluent in Spanish and English, allowing her to better represent a diverse variety of clients.
