C. Leslie Banas is the managing member of the law firm of Banas and Associates, PLLC, in Birmingham, Michigan, where she has a successful business and real estate practice. She represents businesses in the Birmingham area. Her clients also include established and entrepreneurial companies operating throughout the U.S. She helps out of state companies acquiring businesses or purchasing properties in Michigan. She also works with foreign buyers acquiring U.S. real estate.
Ms. Banas spent more than 20 years as a partner at a large corporate law firm headquartered in Detroit before founding her own firm in 2009.
Licensed to practice in all Michigan state and federal courts since 1976, she works with clients in the real estate, affordable housing, retail, hospitality, health care, manufacturing and professional service industries.
Ms. Banas assists clients with business transactions, contract negotiations, and business formation. She is a recognized authority on commercial real estate development and affordable multifamily rental housing finance.

She is also active in community service organizations and sits on the advisory board of the Urban Land Institute Michigan. She has also served as president of the Women's Economic Club and as chair of the State Bar of Michigan's Real Property Law Section.
