Attorney Dean M. Googasian has been practicing law for more than 15 years and has already had a distinguished career. After graduating from Wayne State University Law School in 1997 ranked first in his class, and serving as Editor in Chief of The Wayne Law Review, and graduating summa cum laude, Mr. Googasian clerked for Michigan Supreme Court Justice Hon. Marilyn Kelly.
Mr. Googasian served as Special Assistant to the Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division at the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. During his time at Main Justice, Mr. Googasian received the United States Department of Justice Special Achievement Award for Meritorious Acts or Service at the Justice Department.
Mr. Googasian has represented clients at The Googasian Firm, P.C. for more than a decade, specializing in catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and consumer class actions. Along with his partner Thomas H. Howlett, also recognized as a SuperLawyer, Mr. Googasian has been appointed lead counsel in numerous consumer class actions around the country.
As an attorney with The Googasian Firm, P.C., Mr. Googasian earned the 2007 Distinguished Brief Award from the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review for the most scholarly brief submitted to the Michigan Supreme Court during that year.
