With more than 30 years of legal experience, Ronald W. Chapman dedicates his practice to representing health care professionals, insurance providers and facilities. The founder of Chapman Law Group, he handles a wide variety of matters for his diverse client base across both Michigan and Florida, including health care employment law, fraud defense, medical malpractice and professional licensing.
In 1979, while also serving in the United States Air Force, Mr. Chapman received a Bachelor of Arts cum laude from California State University, Sacramento. The following year, he earned a Master of Public Administration from the University of Southern California. Also in 1980, he was honorably discharged from the Air Force. Mr. Chapman subsequently enrolled at Wayne State University Law School in Detroit and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1984. He has since obtained a Master of Laws in health law from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Admitted to practice in Michigan and Florida, Mr. Chapman is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Sixth and Eleventh Circuits.
Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Chapman has earned the respect of his colleagues, as attested to by his receipt of an AV Preeminent* peer-review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a 10.0 "Superb" peer-review rating through Avvo. A frequent speaker at legal and medical conferences, he is a member of several professional groups, including the American Health Lawyers Association, the Health Care Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Association of Nurse Attorneys and the National Commission on Correctional Health Care.
