As a partner at the law firm of Gaskins Bennett Birrell Schupp LLP, Robert Bennett serves people throughout the state of Minnesota in matters regarding civil rights, police brutality and personal injury. When representing clients in cases involving motor vehicle and truck accidents, faulty products and other commercial disputes, Mr. Bennett has achieved many multimillion-dollar awards.
Mr. Bennett’s experience as a trial lawyer spans over three decades, and the National Board of Trial Advocacy and the Minnesota State Bar Association have certified him as a civil trial specialist. He is admitted to practice in Minnesota and Wyoming, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin and the U.S. District Court for the District of North Dakota. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
At the University of Notre Dame, Mr. Bennett graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in 1973, and he went on to earn his Juris Doctor at the University of Minnesota Law School in 1976. He continues to stay abreast of advances in the profession as an active participant in the legal community, holding memberships with the American Bar Association, the Minnesota State Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Minnesota Association for Justice, the Wyoming State Bar and the American Board of Trial Advocates.
