He accepted a commission with the U.S. Judge Advocate General's Corps in 1999. In addition to his many memberships in professional associations, including the Lafayette County Bar Association, Mr. Tannehill actively supports the Oxford-Lafayette County Chamber of Commerce and the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council.
