A founding member of Donahue Hagan Klein & Weisberg, LLC, located in Morristown, New Jersey, Stephanie Frangos Hagan focuses her practice exclusively on family law issues. Providing representation to clients throughout the state, she handles a variety of related matters including divorce, complex property division, child custody and parenting time, spousal and child support, paternity disputes, prenuptial agreements and same-sex family law issues. In addition to being an astute litigator, she also is well-versed in family law mediation and is often appointed by the court as a mediator in Family Law cases. She is certified as a family law arbitrator by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
After receiving a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University in 1982, Ms. Hagan went on to attend Seton Hall University School of Law and was awarded her Juris Doctor in 1985. Highly regarded by her fellow professionals for her track record and ethics, she has received a "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo. Admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, Ms. Hagan is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Ms. Hagan was recently installed in January 2016 as the Second Vice-Chair of the Morris County Bar Association and is also a trustee of the Morris County Bar Foundation. In May 2016, Ms. Hagan was installed as the Chair-Elect of the Family Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association.
Ms. Hagan is frequently asked to deliver presentations on a variety of topics related to her practice area to groups of fellow attorneys. In November 2015, she organized 36 speakers and moderated the annual Family Law Hot Tips program at the law center in New Brunswick. In January 2016, she moderated a panel on Family Law Arbitration for the annual Family Law Symposium in New Brunswick. In May 2016 she moderated a panel of five Family Part judges from Morris, Union, Essex, Sommerset and Ocean County at the annual Family Law Bench/Bar conference held at the New Jersey State Bar Association annual meeting in Atlantic City. Ms. Hagan is also a Blue Ribbon Panelist for the Union, Essex and Morris County Family Law Early Settlement Programs.
