Andrea E. Bonina is a member of Bonina & Bonina PC, a firm established by her father John Anthony Bonina and located in Brooklyn, New York. She has been a partner in the firm since 1995. Ms. Bonina focuses her practice on medical malpractice, personal injury and product liability litigation. She frequently gives lectures on related topics to groups of fellow professionals, including the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the Bay Ridge Lawyers Association and the New York State Bar Association.
After graduating from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science in 1989, Ms. Bonina went on to attend Brooklyn Law School and was awarded her Juris Doctor in 1992. Admitted to practice before all New York state courts, she joined Bonina & Bonina PC after graduation. As a measure of the esteem in which she is held by her fellow professionals, Ms. Bonina has received an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell.
An active participant in a variety of professional organizations, Ms. Bonina is the chair of the Brooklyn Bar Association Computer Technology Committee. She is also a member of the Brooklyn Bar Association, the Columbian Lawyers Association of the First Judicial Department, the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers and the New York State Bar Association.
Active in her community, Ms. Bonina has served as co-chair of an annual fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She is also one of the founders of the Liz Padilla Memorial 5K Run/Walk, an event focused on raising money for the Brooklyn Volunteer Lawyers Project. A past recipient of the Hon. William T. Bellard Award from the Catholic Lawyers Guild Diocese of Brooklyn, Ms. Bonina has also been given the Woman of Valor Award by the Institute of Jewish Humanities.
