Anthony C. Acampora is the partner-in-charge of SilvermanAcampora LLP, located in Jericho, New York. Providing representation to clients throughout the New York City metropolitan area, he focuses his practice on business and real estate law, including such matters as bankruptcy and creditors' rights, corporate restructuring, corporate governance, employment law, complex commercial litigation, and trusts and estates.
As an undergraduate, Mr. Acampora obtained his Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University, graduating cum laude in 1980. He then went on to pursue his legal studies at Fordham University School of Law, where he served as an associate editor on the Fordham International Law Journal. He was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1983.
Mr. Acampora chairs the litigation group at his firm while also handling complex commercial litigation matters in both state and federal court. His efforts have led to the successful recovery of hundreds of millions of dollars on behalf of his firm's clients, including several significant awards in accountant malpractice and director and officer liability matters. The quality of his work has been recognized by his clients and the legal community alike. He has been given an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating an attorney can receive for ethical practice and legal abilities.
Admitted to practice in New York, Mr. Acampora is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. He is an active member in a variety of professional organizations, including the Nassau County, New York State and American bar associations. Mr. Acampora has also served on the board of The Maryjayne Casillo Foundation for Cancer Research and Awareness and other charitable groups.
