Amol K. Pachnanda is a partner at Ingram Yuzek Gainen Carroll & Bertolotti, LLP, located in New York, New York. As a member of the firm's real estate group, he focuses his practice in the area of commercial real estate law and also handles associated financing transactions. In particular, Mr. Pachnanda often represents landlords and tenants who are seeking to lease office and retail space throughout the United States and in India. He also represents clients who wish to acquire, sell or finance multi-family or commercial properties.
After earning his Bachelor of Science from Fordham University in 1999, Mr. Pachnanda went on to attend what is now known as SUNY Buffalo Law School and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 2003. Fluent in both English and Hindi, he is admitted to practice in New York. Over the past few years, Mr. Pachnanda has written numerous articles about various aspects of commercial leases, including one on assigning and subletting clauses as well as several works covering the financial effects of operating expense clauses in commercial leases. He is also the co-author of an article containing advice to U.S. companies that wish to lease commercial space in India.
In addition to his busy practice, Mr. Pachnanda is involved in a variety of professional organizations, including the New York State Bar Association, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the South Asian Bar Association of New York. He does pro bono legal work for the Neighborhood Entrepreneur Law Project and also volunteers his time to New York Cares and Chhaya Community Development Corporation.
