Daniel P. O'Toole is a partner with the New York, New York-based personal injury law firm Block O'Toole & Murphy. A highly experienced trial lawyer who has secured more than $275 million in verdicts and settlements just in the last five years, Mr. O'Toole focuses his legal practice on robustly and compassionately representing the rights of personal injury victims in cases of construction accidents, automobile accidents, bad faith claims, industrial accidents and medical malpractice. Pairing strong litigation skills with his more than 20 years of experience, Mr. O'Toole recently obtained an $11 million award for pain and suffering, believed to be the highest award obtained to date for such damages awarded in the New York Court of Claims, for an injured client.
Mr. O'Toole graduated from Fordham University Law School in 1992. He is admitted to practice in both New York and New Jersey. He is active in the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and is currently serving his second term on its board of directors. He has also chaired the association's Labor Law Committee, which is dedicated to protecting the rights of employees at construction sites.
