Attorney Deborah B. Kahn is the founder of Butterman & Kahn LLP, a New York, New York, law firm. Ms. Kahn focuses her practice on family and real estate law, handling cases involving divorce, child custody and other aspects of matrimonial law, as well as litigation and transactional matters in residential and commercial real estate. She has more than 30 years of experience representing clients in Manhattan, Brooklyn and throughout the metropolitan New York area.
After earning her bachelor's degree from the Binghamton University of the State University of New York, Ms. Kahn graduated from Yeshiva University's Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. She has been admitted to practice law in all New York state courts since 1985 and is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States.
Ms. Kahn has participated as a neutral evaluator in a variety of family law cases in the New York County Supreme Court and has also served as a faculty member for the Kaplan Bar Review program and as an advisor for teams participating in the New York City Mock Trial Tournament.
Committed to professional education, Ms. Kahn has written and lectured on family law topics for a variety of professional organizations. She has also served as an adjunct professor at Pace University. She belongs to the New York State Bar Association and the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York and is the co-chair of the swearing-in program committee for Hadassah's National Attorneys' Council of the Supreme Court of the United States.
