Michael L. Lambert is the founder of the Law Office of Michael L. Lambert, located in New York, New York. Focusing his practice exclusively on criminal defense matters, he provides representation to clients throughout the New York City metropolitan area who have been charged with misdemeanor or felony offenses such as driving under the influence, drug possession and distribution, embezzlement and other white collar crimes, domestic violence and other matters.
Mr. Lambert completed his undergraduate studies at Tufts University, graduating in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in political science. Upon graduating, he then went on to attend law school at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 2007. While in law school, Mr. Lambert served as a legal intern at the Westchester County District Attorney's office, where he gained important experience in drafting motions and interviewing witnesses, among other duties. He also received recognition for his participation in the school's Criminal Justice Clinic, where he represented indigent clients charged with misdemeanor offenses. Mr. Lambert is admitted to practice before all New York state courts.
During his career, Mr. Lambert has provided tenacious and innovative defense representation to a wide variety of clients. He has also furnished pro bono services on many occasions, including to a homeless person who had been arrested for disorderly conduct for allegedly panhandling, a case that presented both criminal defense and First Amendment issues. An active participant in several professional organizations, Mr. Lambert is a member of the New York State and Westchester County bar associations and the New York State Defenders Association.
