Matthew's practice has been focused on multi-jurisdictional commercial and bankruptcy litigation, including representing creditors in complex Chapter 11 matters and adversary proceedings throughout the Northeast Region. He also focuses his practice on general business representation, replevin proceedings and commercial collections.
Matthew has represented several national lending institutions with regard to secured transactions, problem loans and wholesale inventory floor plan financing of vehicles and agricultural/construction equipment. His broad experience in this practice area includes the negotiation and preparation of forbearance and recapitalization agreements and the commencement and prosecution of inventory replevin actions. He has also represented clients in corporate matters including business formation, shareholder agreements and disputes.
Matthew is a former Director, Treasurer and Vice President of the Capital Region Bankruptcy Bar Association; a former Director and President of the Creditors' Association of Upstate New York; a Director and President Elect of the Upstate New York Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association and a Director and past President of the Colonie Youth Center, Inc.
