Scott Iseman is an associate in the litigation department of O'Connell and Aronowitz. Working out of the firm's office in Albany, New York, he provides representation to clients throughout the state who have been charged with state or federal felonies or misdemeanors such as drug possession and distribution, fraud, driving while intoxicated, sexual assault and larceny. Mr. Iseman also defends local college students during school disciplinary proceedings, and he assists people who have been harmed by the negligence of others in matters involving motor vehicle accidents, defective products and premises liability.
Mr. Iseman attended Hamilton College and received a Bachelor of Arts in government in 2007. He then went on to attend the University at Buffalo School of Law and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 2010. While there, Mr. Iseman was the winner of the Charles S. Desmond Moot Court Competition, and at his graduation he received the Judge Matthew J. Jasen Appellate Practice Award and the James M. Kieffer Trial Excellence Award.
After law school, Mr. Iseman served as a United States Marine Corps Judge Advocate in North Carolina, where he oversaw military prosecutions. He also was a special assistant U.S. attorney with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina. After finishing his military career in 2014, he joined O'Connell and Aronowitz. Admitted to practice in New York, Mr. Iseman is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. He is a member of a variety of legal organizations, including the American Association for Justice, the Albany County Bar Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
