Richard P. Abraham, of Young Ricchiuti Caldwell & Heller, LLC, is an accomplished attorney with more than three decades of experience representing clients with medical malpractice and other cases involving serious and permanent injuries. Over the years, Mr. Abraham has won numerous multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements for clients in both Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding area, including Delaware, Chester, Lehigh and Montgomery counties.
While attending Temple University Beasley School of Law, Mr. Abraham served on the staff of the law review and graduated with honors for excellence in writing. After graduating, he served as a clerk for a Pennsylvania judge and was later a founding partner of the firm Abraham, Pressman & Tietz, which is now known as Abraham, Bauer & Spalding, PC. He joined Young Ricchiuti Caldwell & Heller, LLC, in 2009.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Abraham has been involved with a number of notable cases. He won a $5.5 million-dollar settlement for a young girl who was permanently paralyzed after doctors at two hospitals failed to diagnose her spinal tumor, and he has effectively handled numerous other cases involving medical negligence and birth injuries.
In recognition of the quality of his work, Mr. Abraham has received an AV Preeminent* rating from the peer review service Martindale-Hubbell.
Mr. Abraham is currently admitted to practice in Pennsylvania state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is active in the American Association for Justice, where he is a member of groups dedicated to birth injury litigation, nursing home litigation and professional negligence.
