Attorney James H. Price is the owner and founder of Price Law Firm, P.A., in Greenville, South Carolina. Mr. Price practices criminal defense and personal injury law, representing the injured and those accused of crimes in both the state and federal courts. With decades of experience as a litigator, he has represented a variety of clients throughout the Greenville area.
Mr. Price earned a bachelor's degree in English from the University of South Carolina and later obtained his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He has been licensed to practice in South Carolina since 1975 and is also admitted to practice in New York. He is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit.
Recognized for his long and successful legal career, Mr. Price has earned the rating of AV Preeminent* from the attorney peer-review service Martindale-Hubbell. Other honors he has received include the Public Citizen award from the South Carolina Association for Justice in 1999 and the Tommy-Thomason award from the Greenville County Bar Association in 2011.
Active in various professional organizations, Mr. Price belongs to the South Carolina Bar, the South Carolina Association for Justice, the New York State Bar Association, the Cole-Huff DUI Trial Lawyers Group and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is also a founding member of the Greenville Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Mr. Price also devotes a portion of his time to pro bono activities. He served with Special Olympics South Carolina from 1998 to 2014 and continues to volunteer at the Triune Mercy Center, a nondenominational church committed to helping low income and homeless individuals.
